Art on the Mart is the world’s largest public projection art installation. It spans the two and a half acre south, river façade on the iconic Merchandise Mart building. As the lighting consultants, we reimagined exactly light would sculpt the building façade and which lighting fixtures, lighting positions, and control system were necessary to accomplish our vision and lower energy consumption. Then, using those tools, we created a unique light show to highlight the exciting projection content, winning us an IES National Lighting Design and engaging all of Chicago and its visitors.
